About Edmund Enos III's

Edmund Enos III's was born on August 23, 1961, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. A devoted Catholic and family man, he has spent most of his life in Montreal, Quebec, where faith, family, and community have remained central to who he is.

Edmund has lived with depression and anxiety since young adulthood. His journey has included dark seasons, grief, and health challenges, yet he believes God was present in every comeback. That belief became the foundation of Into the Mystic.

He writes in the same way he speaks: plainly, personally, and without pretense. His purpose is not to present himself as someone with every answer. It is to stand beside readers who need hope.

Faith formed over a lifetime

A faith inherited, tested, and made his own.

Faith was present in Edmund's home from the beginning. As he grew older, it had to become more than an inheritance. Depression, anxiety, loss, and uncertainty tested what he believed, and those tests gradually deepened his trust in God.

Today, faith is woven through his prayers, family life, music, the phone calls he makes to people who are struggling, and his determination to show kindness while there is still time to do so.

In memory of Dr. Edmund Enos

The faith his father left behind.

Edmund's father was a man of deep faith, dignity, and perseverance. He taught by example that life is not always easy, yet it remains worth living with courage, gratitude, and saving grace.

Although Dr. Edmund Enos passed away in 2007, his voice and example remain present in Edmund's life. Into the Mystic is dedicated to him and carries his legacy forward.

“You left this world, but your spirit never left mine. This is for you, Dad.”Edmund Enos III's · Book dedication

Why he wrote the book

Words cultivated over a lifetime.

Into the Mystic was not planned from an outline. Edmund began with a topic, sat still, and let the words come. He believes the Holy Spirit guided that process, bringing together experiences that had been forming for more than forty years.

“If even one of these chapters reaches you at exactly the right moment, then everything is worth it.”

Beyond the page

The ordinary places saving grace finds him.

Family

Edmund's wife, children, and close family remain central to his life, prayers, and understanding of unconditional love.

Music

He plays guitar, and some of his most peaceful moments come from making music with his son, who plays violin.

Nature

Parks, clear skies, and time near the water remind him that the world is larger than the problems that fill the mind.

Kindness

He believes ordinary acts—a call, a ride home, a held door, or help offered in the cold—can repair a heart.

Continue the journey

A message written from the edge—and the way back.

“I wrote Into the Mystic because I know what it feels like to need answers. If these pages help one person carry on, then writing them was worth it.”
